Tim Staump began his career 25 years ago as a music educator and founder of Staump Music School teaching students of all abilities to play the drums. Since then, he has now become an active participant of San Diego’s business community including a six year position on the Board of Directors for Santee’s Chamber of Commerce. As the Chairman for Santee’s annual Street Fair, he has also brought opportunities to other businesses as well. Tim is also a bit of a philanthropist as well. Presently, he is the co-founder and Chief Financial Officer for Elev8 Arts Foundations that prides itself in providing equal access to music education and arts for all youth.
About Tim Staump
Inspired by some of the best, Tim strived to bring the same passion and a commitment to his art that would eventually ignite the same love for percussion in others. His mentors include some of the greats like Zoro, Mark Schulman, Daniel Glass, and Bruce Becker, and Rich Redmond legends in the drumming industry. Tim not only admired these figures but applied their teachings, evolving into a skilled and versatile musician.
Tim Staump’s skill isn’t limited to a single stage; whether in the studio or on stage, his skills show, establishing him as a highly sought-after drummer.

Staump Music School
Tim founded Staump Music School, a place for music enthusiasts of all ages, in 2008. Tim creates a setting in which students not only learn but also feel at ease, supported in obtaining professional music standards. The program is aimed to provide a studio-like experience that will help all students improve their musical abilities.
